I got more out of this introduction video than I have in 1 semester of college art classes. If this first lecture was this good, then I cannot wait to get started with the rest of this course. Will Terry's knowledge is gold! He does an amazing job of explaining basic design principles by giving visuals and getting straight to the point. Great job Will!

This ONE lesson alone is worth the monthly subscription!!!! Jake Parker is a genius and teaches the basic principles of art in this easy tutorial! Worth every minute it takes of your day! Constant practice is necessary, obviously, but it's so simple how Parker teaches it!!!

This course is broken up very well. It’s simple to follow and the principles are taught in a way that makes them easy to implement immediately. I’ve seen my drawing jump a whole level just by using the thumbnails and Bean shape principles. Plus it’s just amazing to watch Mr. Jake Parker work on the bonus video.

This has moved my drawing skills up to another level. The content was very clearly articulated and demonstrated, and the principles ''stuck''. Thank you.

This class was amazing. If you asked me last week if I knew color, I'd have said color was the one area that I was confident I knew well - that was until I took this class. I learned so much I can't thank you enough.

I've hit a frustrating wall on how to use what technical skills I have to SAY SOMETHING. This class breaks down the vague concept of storytelling and provides great actionable exercises to put the lessons into practice. Great class and beyond my expectations. Thanks for this!

Thanks to Lee for creating this lesson. Is just what I needed as I work to make my watercolor more loose. Lee kept things light and fun and concise as he explained and demonstrated the various techniques for loose watercolors. Great!

I identify with so many of the topics that you discussed. The dialogue was great and it was a big help. I really appreciate how you guys related everything to what you've been through or what you've seen others go through. Not only was it eye opening in regards to dealing with some of my blocks but it was also a bit of a confidence boost. Thanks for putting this together.

I am working on my first illustrated novel and being self-taught, I was really nervous about the line work. I could not figure out why my illustrations did not look like comics. I just finished this class with the drawing of a dragon in armour and a sweet little tree. AND THE BOTH LOOK like real COMICS!. (Both drawings are part of the final tutorial of this course) I have learnt a lot in these four hours. In fact I just went over some comic books and I can understand now why the line is thick in and place thinner in other. This course covers the basics, and I find this to be fundamental to understanding inking and how comics are done. None of the books I have read on the subject made it so clear to me. This is really one of the best short courses I have taken! The course is clear, starts from zero explains everything, is right to the point. I really like the exercises, they do improve one's line work and control over the pen or brush. I just hope I can translate what I learnt here to my current and future work. Just be aware that this is NOT a drawing course! THanks so much to the teacher!

This course is a must! It is such a great class with lots of important information. This revamped class is a huge improvement over the old version. Will Terry explains things clearly and to the point. I did love it and will come back to it again.

Jake has put together an awesome class! I think this would be wonderful for a beginner, as well as someone with training who needs a refresher through the lens of illustration (like me). It was great getting this material presented to me in a slightly different way, with concise and helpful examples and demos. I also liked the occasional candid comments and bloopers -- felt very organic and approachable.
