This demo packs in a ton of info! Life advice, tips for starting out, technical details, and of course Jake Parker shows his illustration process. All delivered in an engaging way. This course includes the original 3rd Thursday recording plus a bonus 40 minutes of Jake finishing his drawing with additional commentary, AND you get the PSD file to poke around in. I tend to just listen to interview-type videos while working on my own sketches, but I was glued to the screen on this one. Watching Jake Parker work was a joy, and I ended up with a couple pages of notes from the conversation as well. This is a must-watch!

I really enjoyed this walkthrough from start to finish. It's a pleasure to watch Jake work. He talks about many of his techniques and tips while giving some insightful answers to some tough questions about being an artist. Personally I learned some nice tricks about colouring and shading that I will be applying to my own work. I would like to see more like this.

It kicks in your will to make stuff, as it covers a lot of many topics while Jake is making his art. It also shows his direct and very rational/thought and practical approach to the work he is doing. This is helped by the questions Will and Lee drop him along the 1st part of the video. It's very similar to Jake's youtube videos covering various topics.
