Do you feel stuck with your art?

Office Hours is a way for SVSLearn members to receive personalized feedback from working professionals to help you take your art to the next level!

This is a new service where you can book a personal 30 minute video assessment with either Will Terry, Jake Parker or Lee White.

All three are working illustrators with extensive experience in publishing and teaching, so they can help assess your work from a professional point of view.

For $99 a session, you'll be able to ask for help with any illustration issue you may have, be it technique, concept, composition, style or whatever!

This service is only available to SVSLearn members, so you'll need an active subscription in order to sign up.

Here's how it works:

  • Navigate to the Office Hours class in your student dashboard.
  • Click on the link within the class. This will bring you to a scheduling page.
  • Click on the instructor you would like to work with.
  • Select an open appointment and click continue. Please note: the date and time are only used to reserve an open seat. This does not indicate a meeting time.
  • Upload up to 3 images and a brief summary of your illustration issue.
  • Complete the payment info.
  • And that's it! You will receive a personal video assessment from the instructor within one week of the appointment.

Booking for Office Hours is currently open through Jan 31, or until all the seats are full, whichever comes first.

All sessions booked by Jan 31 will receive a personal video within one week, by Feb 7.

Seats are limited so don't wait!

  • Why is the assessment done through video instead of live chat?

We have students from all over the world and can't always find agreeable meeting times across different time zones. This way you can simply book a session and get a personalized assessment in a week, without the scheduling hassle.

  • Can I book an Office Hours session to get help with my portfolio, book dummy or website?

Not just yet! These are big projects that will take a lot more time than just 30 minutes to review and assess. We'll be rolling out an option for bigger projects in the future.

  • Are Office Hours included in the subscription?

Office Hours are only available to our subscribers, but is not included in the price of the subscription. That is because you are booking dedicated time with a real life professional to review your work and give personal feedback. At $99 a session, we think it's a steal!

  • How will I receive my personal video assessment?

Once you book a session, the instructor will have one week from the appointment date to send you your video assessment. You will be notified via email when it is ready. The video file will be uploaded to a private Google drive, and you will receive a personal link to view it. It's yours to download and keep!
