About the Instructor

Zac is originally from upstate New York where he studied illustration at the Rochester Institute of Technology. After graduating, he illustrated the picture book, Too Much Glue, which went on to become an Amazon bestseller. He has also worked at Workinman Interactive where he painted backgrounds for games. Zac is currently working as a visual development artist at Reel FX, designing environments for the Scooby Doo animated feature film.

Lighting is super important in any storytelling project. It can convey everything from mood to environment to time of day. Follow along as visual development artist Zac Retz reveals how he approaches lighting.
